The specific instructions are: Add render images of Sulfur Cube

A sulfur cube is an upcoming bucketable and passive slime-like mob that will be added in Chaos Cubed[upcoming]. It turns into a bouncy cube when it sucks up the block, creating various effects depending on the block absorbed. It was announced during Minecraft Live - March 2026.

Spawning[]

Large sulfur cubes naturally spawn in Sulfur Caves. When they are killed, they split into two smaller sulfur cubes, which can then grow up into large sulfur cubes.

In Bedrock Edition, sulfur cubes cannot spawn in peaceful difficulty, despite being a passive creature.

Behavior[]

Sulfur cubes jump around aimlessly, making it vulnerable to all sources of damage.

Sulfur cubes can climb through blocks that can be climbed such as ladders and vines. Launched sulfur cubes with absorbed blocks also has capable of climbing.

Splitting[]

Sulfur cubes has two sizes: small and large. When a large sulfur cube dies, it splits into two. However, unlike slimes and magma cubes, small sulfur cubes can grow into larger size.

Absorbing blocks[]

Large sulfur cubes have an ability to absorb blocks. In that state, it turns to a bouncy cube with various effects depending on the type of block absorbed.

Large sulfur cubes can absorb blocks that are dropped on the ground, and can also absorb blocks the player holds to. Dispensers can also absorb blocks when launched.

Damage resistance[]

Sulfur cubes with a block absorbed in it becomes invulnerable to following types of damage:

Fire, lava, suffocation, cramming‌[JE only], and warden's sonic boom still kills the sulfur cube, even it has an absorbed block in it.
