Bedrock Edition 26.20, is an upcoming minor update for Bedrock Edition. It is set to release at some point within 2026. It contains experimental features for Chaos Cubed.

• Subtitles
  • Can be enabled via Accessibility in settings.
  • Displays text for in-game sounds.
  • Prior to this update:
    • Was only exclusive to Java Edition.
    • Was only available in betas and previews.
• Party system
  • Players can now create and join parties.
  • Members doesn't need to be in leader's world
  • Each party contains up to 15 players.
    • Leaders can choose what type of privacy setting that a party has:
      • Invited only - requires an invitation sent from a leader to join
      • Open - anyone can join
  • Can promote other members to become a leader.
  • Party settings can be accessed via settings.

• Cinnabar Block Set
  • A new reddish-hue colored blocks found in sulfur caves.
  • These include:

• Potent Sulfur
  • A new sulfur block variant that emits gas bubbles when placed on underwater.
  • Inflicts nausea when a player or mob gets close to or enters a sulfur pool.
  • Like any stone-related blocks, it can only be mined with a pickaxe.
  • Only available under "Drop 2 of 2026" experimental toggle.

• Sulfur Cube Spawn Egg
  • Can be used to spawn sulfur cubes.
  • Spawns in random size.
  • Only available under "Drop 2 of 2026" experimental toggle.
• Bucket of Sulfur Cube
  • Can be obtained by using a bucket on a sulfur cube.
  • Spawns sulfur cube when spawned.
  • Only available under "Drop 2 of 2026" experimental toggle.

Mobs[]

• Sulfur Cube
  • A new passive slime-like mob that mostly spawns in sulfur caves.
  • Like slimes and magma cubes, they split into two upon death.
    • However, smaller cubes can grow to larger versions.
  • When a player drops or uses a block on a sulfur cube, the mob sucks the block up and turns into a bouncy cube.
    • Can be removed by using shears.
  • Unlike most passive mobs, sulfur cubes cannot spawn in peaceful difficulty.
  • Only available under "Drop 2 of 2026" experimental toggle.

Biomes[]

• Sulfur Caves
  • A new underground biome that mainly consists of sulfur and cinnabar blocks.
  • Sulfur pools generate in this biome.
  • It is where sulfur cubes spawn naturally.
  • Only available under "Drop 2 of 2026" experimental toggle.

• Recipe book
  • Added an unlocking recipe system for smelting recipe.
  • Only available under "Furnace Recipe Book" experimental toggle.
• Party system
  • Added an ability to chat on parties.
    • Shares the same functionality as you chat on in-game worlds.
• Realms
  • Added Realms Hub, a central place for Realm.
    • Replaces Realms stories and all old settings menus.

• Grass Blocks
  • Now creates tall grass when fertilized with bone meal.
• Torches
  • Recipe can now be unlocked by acquiring either of the following items:
    • Stick
    • Coal
    • Charcoal
    • Any Pickaxe

Mobs[]

• Baby mobs
  • No longer show green growth particles when fed on when the growth is paused.
  • Baby spawn sounds now play with a correct pitch on:
    • Pig
    • Cat
    • Chicken
    • Horse
    • Wolf
• Baby wolves
  • Hind legs now rotated correctly while sitting.
• Rabbits
  • Its idle animation has been disabled when leashed with lead.
• Baby zombies
  • No longer levitate when riding baby mobs.
