Bedrock Edition 26.40 is an upcoming minor update for Bedrock Edition. It is set to release at some point within 2026. It contains experimental features for Third Drop 2026.

  • Geysers now erupt through flowing liquids.
  • Is now located after sulfur instead of polished sulfur in the creative inventory.

  • Is now located after potent sulfur instead of sulfur in the creative inventory.

  • Now has its own dedicated block sounds and events.
  • Now sets limit how long the spikes can grow.

  • Changed item sprites to match the block's appearance.

    • This is likely due to being redstone blocks.
  • Now deflects projectiles when it has an absorbed block in it.
