We'd like to hear your thoughts[]
Hey there! If you haven't heard, we've decided to move away from Fandom to a new, independent wiki. I noticed you've contributed quite a bit, so I'd really appreciate your input on our skin designs for the new wiki, whether you think we should enable dark or light mode by default, and if you have any other feedback. You can leave your feedback on this page. I hope you can join us over there! - Harristic (talk) 14:20, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
Hey there, I have a question[]
The question is really simple: Do you have a plan of editing on the new wiki, or you still forever edits on this wiki?

Hi Brain180, I’ve got a simple answer for ya: I’ll keep editing on the Minecraft FANDOM wiki. I saw on your profile you said you intend to move onto the independent wiki, so I’ll also tell you why I’m staying here.
The independent wiki has enough people already working on it - that means I can’t make big contributions to that wiki. The independent wiki also has a rigid scope - meaning they only document what’s in vanilla Minecraft. This limits what info can be added to that wiki, even if it has to do with something made by Mojang (like Mojang’s Minecraft Marketplace worlds, or the MC Live 2018 mobs).
Since most of the old staff left the FANDOM wiki, we have room to try more new things here. By staying here, we can document those other things & give them their overdue spotlight. TavianCL (talk) 07:48, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- The new wiki does allow those articles. ArduFish123 (talk) 08:48, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for telling me. I took a look - the new wiki indeed allows documentation of Mojang’s Marketplace worlds, & has some articles about them already. However, I am still curious on their stance on other content like the Minecon 2018 sample mobs Mojang provided for download back then. TavianCL (talk) 15:57, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
- Okay, honestly, you have a good point. In fact you deserve to be an admin on this wiki.

- Hey! I'd love to talk about this further on our Discord server, check out Minecraft Wiki:Discord.StuckInAHypickle (talk) 18:58, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry, I don't use Discord.
Brain180, "click here to talk" 06:21, 22 September 2024 (UTC) - I stopped using Discord a while back, so that’s out of the question. With that said, I see no problem with using our wiki’s own discussion pages to talk about the scope of information we could document on the wiki. TavianCL (talk) 06:05, 26 September 2024 (UTC)

- Hey there, I've migrated to the new wiki! And since you're not gonna migrate to the wiki, I hope you have a great time here and have a happy new year!

- Hi Brain180, I'm glad you're happy with your move to the independent Minecraft Wiki. You bet I'll have an awesome 2025 giving FANDOM all I've got, be it on this wiki or any of the others I work on. Thanks for all your contributions here, and you have a Happy New Year too! TavianCL (talk) 08:09, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
