Java Edition 26.1, unofficially named First Drop 2026, is an upcoming minor update for Java Edition. It is set to release at some point within 2026. It is the first version to use the new YY.D.H version format and the first to require Java 25.

• Golden Dandelion
  • A new decoration block which can be planted on flower pots like other flowers does.
  • Can be crafted with a dandelion surrounded by 8 gold nuggets.
  • Can be used to feed most baby mobs.
  • Baby mobs will stop aging when fed on.
    • It will age again when fed on again.
  • Can be used to craft yellow dyes and suspicious stews.
  • Unlike other flowers:
    • Are not compostable.
    • Does not attract bees.
    • Are not pollinated by bees.

    • Cats now have a new "royal" sound.
    • Chickens now have a new "picky" sound.
    • Cows now have a new "moody" sound.
    • Pigs now have new "mini" and "big" sounds.
