The Garden Awakens is a game drop that features pale garden, Eyeblossoms, creakings, and other related blocks. It is released on December 3, 2024.^[1] It was also announced at Minecraft Live 2024.

Prior to its name reveal on November 27, 2024, it was referred to as the "Winter Drop".

  • Can be used to grow pale oak trees.
  • Pale oak trees generate this way does not generate with a creaking heart.
• Creaking Heart
  • Can be found activated in the Pale Garden biome.
  • Can be mined and relocated with a Silk Touch tool.
  • Can be crafted using two Pale Oak logs and a block of Resin.
  • It only activates when placed between two Pale Oak logs in the same orientation and can't be deactivated unless the block is broken.
  • Spawns creakings at night or during thunderstorms when activated and links itself to them.

  • Generates as part of pale garden.
• Pale Moss Carpet
  • Can be crafted with two pale moss blocks.
    • Can produce 3 of them.

  • A new silvery, pale-white colored wooden blocks that can be found in pale garden.

• Pale Oak Boat
  • Can be crafted with 5 pale oak planks.
• Pale Oak Boat with Chest
  • Can be crafted with a chest and pale oak boat.

Mobs[]

• Creaking
  • A new hostile mob spawned by active creaking hearts during the night or thunderstorms.
    • Can also be spawned using a spawn egg, by the /summon command or from a monster spawner, which is not connected to a creaking heart, persist through day and night, and deals 1 damage, killing it instantly or in a single hit.
  • It moves and attacks when a player is looking away from it.
  • Unlike most mobs, it can only be killed by destroying its respective creaking heart.
    • Although, it can also be killed instantly when spawned using a spawn egg or by /summon command.
  • It emits particles that lead to its creaking heart when hit or damaged.
  • Illagers are afraid of the creaking and flee from it on sight.

Biomes[]

• Pale Garden
  • A new biome that generates with pale oak trees, pale moss blocks, pale moss carpets, pale hanging moss, and eyeblossoms.
  • It is quiet in daytime, but very eerie at nighttime.
  • It is also where creakings spawn during nighttime or during thunderstorms.

  • Generates as part of pale garden.
  • Made of pale oak logs and pale oak leaves.

Trivia[]

• Unlike most Minecraft version updates, "The Garden Awakens Soundtrack" does not play in-game.
  • The songs in this soundtrack album are mostly remixes of "Infinite Amethyst from Minecraft: Caves & Cliffs (Original Game Soundtrack), but named as "Infinite Spooky Amethyst".
