The royal penguin is a cosmetic pet mob that can be unlocked as a reward in the Fauna Faire seasonal adventure of Minecraft Dungeons.
Appearance[]
The royal penguin is a penguin known for having distinct yellow feathers near its eyes. As for its plumage, it has mostly white feathers with black feathers covering its wings and back. Like the emperor penguin, it has long eyes, but has an orange beak.

Behavior[]
The royal penguin follows heroes around. It is purely cosmetic and does not attack any mobs.

Trivia[]
The penguin was included in the Minecraft Live 2023 mob vote, though it looked different to the design in dungeons. It came 3rd place overall within the first round of voting, losing to the Crab and Armadillo in competition to be added.
