Chaos Cubed (also referred to as Drop 2 of 2026[Bedrock Edition only]) is an upcoming game drop that features sulfur caves, sulfur cubes, and sulfur and cinnabar blocks. It is set to be released sometime in 2026. It was revealed in Minecraft Live - March 2026.

It is internally referred to as "Second Drop 2026".

  • Cinnabar Block Set
    • A new reddish-hue colored blocks found in sulfur caves.
    • These include:
      • Cinnabar Stairs
      • Cinnabar Slab
      • Cinnabar Wall
      • Polished Cinnabar

        • Polished Cinnabar Slab
        • Polished Cinnabar Wall
      • Cinnabar Bricks

      • Chiseled Cinnabar
    • Like any stone-related blocks, it can only be mined with a pickaxe.

    • A new sickly yellowish-colored blocks found in sulfur caves.

    • Like any stone-related blocks, it can only be mined with a pickaxe.
  • Potent Sulfur
    • A new sulfur block variant that emits gas bubbles when placed on underwater.
    • Inflicts nausea when a player or mob gets close to or enters a sulfur pool.
    • Like any stone-related blocks, it can only be mined with a pickaxe.
  • Sulfur Spike
    • A new, pointy and sharpy block that naturally generates in sulfur caves.
    • Like pointy dripstones:
      • Creates a stalactite when placed above the ceiling, and creates a stalagmite when placed on the ground.
    • Unlike pointy dripstones:
      • Does not increase fall damage when fallen on a stalagmite.
      • Does not drip water on a stalactite's tip.
    • Can be used to craft sulfur blocks.

Items[]

  • Sulfur Cube Spawn Egg
  • Bucket of Sulfur Cube
    • Can be obtained by using a bucket on a sulfur cube.
    • Spawns sulfur cube when spawned.

Mobs[]

  • Sulfur Cube
    • A new passive slime-like mob that mostly spawns in sulfur caves.
    • Like slimes and magma cubes, they split into two upon death.
      • However, smaller cubes can grow to larger versions.
    • When a player drops or uses a block on a sulfur cube, the mob sucks the block up and turns into a bouncy cube.
      • Can be removed by using shears.
    • Unlike most passive mobs, it cannot be spawned in peaceful difficulty.

Biomes[]

  • Sulfur Caves
    • A new underground biome that mainly consists of sulfur and cinnabar blocks.
    • Sulfur pools generate in this biome.
    • It is where sulfur cubes spawn naturally.
