Please delete 319 pages/files.

In Category:Pending deletion, there are 316 pages/files in the category plus 1 subcategory and 2 more in Category:Pending speedy deletion. Can all of them be deleted? Most of the pages are unused, unneeded redirects, duplicates, or other pages that have no reason not to be deleted. I know there is a right given to admins called Mass delete pages (nuke). Undeleting a very old image

On the main page, alongside File:Minecraft.png there used to be another file, File:Minecraft2.png, captioned "Epic cityscapes", which has long since been deleted (and doesn't show up on the internet archive either: http://web.archive.org/web/20090621202937/http://minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Main_Page). Since this was one of the very first images ever added to the wiki and since its companion is still around and still being used on the classic page, I think it deserves to be undeleted so it can be seen again by the modern world.  Done. –Sonicwave talk 22:05, 2 May 2022 (UTC)
Thanks a ton, and while we're on the subject of undeleting old files, I noticed something else: the files File:Cavern 1.png, File:Cavern 3.png and File:AlexVMiner's Spleef Arena.png are some of the only known screenshots of the missing version 0.0.21a_01. However, the user who uploaded these images also uploaded another image on the same day as those three, File:Cavern2.png, which was deleted. This was probably also taken in the same version so it's probably also one of the few existing screenshots of this version, so it definitely ought to be undeleted too.
There's probably at least a few more old deleted screenshots on here that are of versions now lost, but it would be difficult to tell which ones without undeleting them first. AlienAgent124 (talk) 00:30, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
Cavern2.png is just an extremely cropped lava texture.
Feel free to add more files here to look at undeleting.  Nixinova T  C   05:49, 10 May 2022 (UTC)

Fix false positives regarding edit filter 50

I have pointed out many false positives regarding edit filter 50, called "Tag character spam", by adding hex colors, such as #333333, #999999, etc., hence I proposed to fix the false positives to that edit filter. DeepLineMadom (talk) 07:27, 2 May 2022 (UTC)

It kicks in, however, only for users with less than 10 edits. I think that's reasonable, and unlikely to generate false positives. Amatulic (talk) 18:15, 2 May 2022 (UTC)

Beetroot Seeds Usages

I just made an account to delete a section under the Beetroot Seeds#Usage. The trading part relates to Beetroot, not Beetroot seeds. Since I've not made enough edits yet I'm not allowed to perform this action. – Unsigned comment added by Codex404 (talkcontribs) at 14:58, 5 May 2022 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~

No — The section shouldn't be deleted, but corrected. One can buy beetroot seeds from wandering traders. I have corrected it accordingly. Amatulic (talk) 15:23, 5 May 2022 (UTC)

73.93.5.139

User:73.93.5.139 keeps editing with bed stuff end update? Pls! Just pls!98.109.176.33 14:15, 10 May 2022 (UTC)

"Keeps editing"? Where? That IP address made one edit in January and one in May. Not clear that it's the same user. Looks like drive-by one-off vandalism to me. If problems persist, see the link at the top of this page to make a proper block request. Amatulic (talk) 15:35, 10 May 2022 (UTC)

iron golem spawn volume conditions are in conflict in 2 pages for bedrock edition

For Bedrock edition,
wiki says "The golem attempts to spawn in a 16×12×16 volume around the village center defined by a bed or a bell." in https://minewiki.pl/en:Iron_Golem#Spawning page.

However;
wiki says "... 16×6×16 volume around the village center." in https://minewiki.pl/en:Iron_Golem#Spawning page.

These information are in conflict ! Which one is correct?

regards. – Unsigned comment added by 92.45.88.58 (talk) at 10:10, 17 May 2022‎ (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~

I believe your second link was intended to link to the Tutorials/Iron golem farming, where you saw this discrepancy.
Always assume that article pages are more correct than tutorial pages. Articles contain actual technical information based on testing and code examination. Tutorials pages were originally created as a way to keep "how to" advice out of the articles, so that the articles contain only information about the game and not how to play it. Many tutorials are dumping grounds for fancruft and youtube videos, although I've tried to keep some of them clean and up to date, such as the ones about farming drowned, iron golems, axolotls, zombie villagers, and water transportation.
I missed the change for the iron golem farming article. Thanks for pointing it out.
The spawn volume changed after 1.17.30. I have fixed the tutorial page so now they both agree. Amatulic (talk) 17:07, 17 May 2022 (UTC)

Error with loot chests

All locations where there would be a table of a loot chest normally instead have this text: "Lua error in Module:LootChest at line 3817: attempt to index field 'rolls' (a nil value)." Not sure what all of that means but I think it needs administrator attention. I have not posted before so please forgive any mistakes in my formatting. HardlyHunter (talk) 00:38, 10 June 2022 (UTC)HardlyHunter

User:AttemptToCallNil made a bunch of edits to the module in the past two days. It may have been the result of that. I left a note on their talk page. Amatulic (talk) 14:44, 10 June 2022 (UTC)
The error was introduced in edit 2136652, I actually fixed it. Because of that edit, several upcoming pool lists became part of ordinary pool lists (they were supposed to be sibling nodes) and were interpreted by the module as one of the pools. Since the upcoming lists ended up empty after the edit, the module crashed due to absence of some critical fields that all pools are expected to have. --AttemptToCallNil (talk) 06:47, 11 June 2022 (UTC)

Navigation popups gadget no longer working

Since the recent wiki software update that finished earlier today, the 'navigation popups' gadget (see user preferences / gadgets) has stopped working. I rely on this gadget heavily to preview diffs in my watchlist and in recent changes, and also for patrolling edits.

It would be nice if the {{ping}} template started working with this new update. Testing pinging BDJP007301: Did you get notified of that ping? Amatulic (talk) 16:38, 22 June 2022 (UTC)

I submitted an updated version of the popups gadget for JS review. It worked for me in test mode. As for pings, I'm not sure, but I think the issue is with the custom notification system used, which won't work no matter how much MediaWiki is updated. --AttemptToCallNil (talk) 17:06, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
Navigation popups is now working again for me.
It's a pity about the pings. That is an incredibly useful feature for those of us who 2000 pages on our watch list. Amatulic (talk) 00:17, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
I take that back. Navigation popups appears, but the "mark as patrolled" option is no longer there under the top heading. Amatulic (talk) 00:19, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
That's most likely an upstream change, so if this option is necessary, it will have to be re-implemented by local admins, which is a non-trivial task. --AttemptToCallNil (talk) 03:15, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
Well, the navigation popups gadget had to be implemented by someone in the first place, and it was done originally at my request after I tested it by pulling it in from MediaWiki. That conversation is at Minecraft Wiki:Admin noticeboard/Archive 33#Woohoo! It works. User:Madminecrafter12 originally imported it and made it available in user preferences. The gadget did need some tweaking before it started working really well, particularly with patrolling. User:Majr fixed up that feature. User:Jack McKalling also participated. I guess it needs to be looked at again. Amatulic (talk) 23:43, 24 June 2022 (UTC)

Inappropriate username

There is a user named Minecraft Wiki Administrator which is misleading because the user is definitely not an admin. Is it preferable to rename the account, or should the user just create another account? Fadyblok240 (talk) 02:52, 24 June 2022 (UTC)

Blocked indefinitely. BDJP (t|c) 03:06, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
Is it a soft block or a hard block? If the username is the only problem with the account, then a hard block may not be justified. Sure, the edit made by the user isn't constructive, but we may not know whether the user is editing with malicious intent without letting the user make more edits. Fadyblok240 (talk) 03:10, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
In this case, because the user had "Admin" or "Adminstrator" in their name, it generally falls under a hard block. Some accounts with that word in their username haven’t even edited (or their contributions were deleted) before being blocked. BDJP (t|c) 03:28, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
