P.S. I have over 3,000 edits on Gamepedia, some 260+ on Wikimedia project, and a dozen or two on Wikia as an anonymous user.

Template aliases

Just a note, using a template's shortcut name (for example, {{cn}}) is not necessary, they are mainly provided for convince. If you are already editing a page, it is fine to switch it to the shorter name, but there is no need to make an edit just to switch the page to using a shortcut or alias when the outcome renders the same. –KnightMiner ^(t·c) 03:37, 29 December 2014 (UTC)

Typographical characters

Besides replacing "these quotes" with “these quotes”, there are other typewriter characters that can be replaced with typographical chars:

• 'Single quotes like this' to ‘Single quotes like this’
• Apostrophe (O'Connell to O’Connell)
• Normal space with a non-breaking space ( ) wherever the line flow must not be broken, like in “Boeing 747”, “November 18”, “Better don’t do this — it’s dangerous” (to the left of em-dashes with spaces all around), etc.
• (C) with © (©)
• (tm) or ^TM with ™ (™)
• etc.

But don’t replace:

• ... (ellipsis made with 3 full stops) with … (ellipsis made with one character, …)

I have a prototype of a wikificator, adapted from the Russian-language one. I also have a table of other typographical characters here — it’s written in Russian, but the table also shows how these chars look.

P.S. We need an official policy on using typographical chars...

Recent deletions

I added the location of a few places in the Minecraft demo world, and I was wondering why they were deleted. I know you said to read the comment at the top of the page, and I'm pretty sure I did, but I still don't understand what I did wrong.
