Thanks, altough that wasn't the problem. Just made a mistake. FracqGrenade | talk contribs 19:30, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

Sun/Moon[]

Instead of a revert war, instead put something like: "The sun and moon will stay square, but will still have phases," with the tweet cited as the source. I would do it myself but I don't know when he tweeted it. --Saphireking65 19:08, 8 November 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, I would if I knew how to link a tweet -.- FracqGrenade | talk contribs 19:34, 8 November 2011 (UTC)

Your sigs' "awesome" effect is spilling into other text[]

Hi FracqGrenade,

To elaborate - after your signature, that little yellow tooltip saying "awesome" starts appearing on all text for the rest of the page. To illustrate, here's your sig working as you (probably) intended, then, a little further down the page - what the-!?
Take a look at the relevant part of the sig:
[[User:FracqGrenade|<span style="cursor:help" title="Awesome"><span style="font-family: minion; color:#006400;"><big>Fracq</big></span><span style="font-family: minion; color:#8B0000;"><big>Grenade</big></span>]]
I count 3 <span style>s, but only 2 </span>s, both after <span style>s that set the font. You probably know how to fix it, since you knew how to create it, but just in case...
I add in an extra </span> to the end of the username:
[[User:FracqGrenade|<span style="cursor:help" title="Awesome"><span style="font-family: minion; color:#006400;"><big>Fracq</big></span><span style="font-family: minion; color:#8B0000;"><big>Grenade</big></span></span>]]
Here we go: FracqGrenade | talk contribs
To test: The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. ...Yep, that seems to have done it. Again, you probably know how to fix it, but better safe than sorry, non?
Hope I helped,

Wow, thanks for letting me know! I didn't even notice it myself... But now it should be fixed! Thanks,
FracqGrenade | talk contribs 09:16, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

For some reason, the correction hasn't applied retroactively, meaning that because of the Sun/Moon topic above, this still happens. :( Maybe I'm not allowing the wiki enough time to update, but if it doesn't update soon-ish, I'd be more than willing to help you go back through your posts and fix the sigs manually (or do it for you, if you don't have the time/patience).

Before all that, though, you might want to take a look at the sig's code again - the talk part of the sig doesn't link to anywhere, let alone your talk page. Problem is, I can't find anything wrong with the code myself - it should work.

Terminal Corruption 20:42, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
Not to worry now, first of all, the sig's that I have previously placed will not update. And, my talk link will not link to its own page, therefore appearing as talk, without the link. So my talk link is not active on my talk page. But any future sig-placements will be updated. FracqGrenade | talk contribs 21:15, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

Ah, okay, that makes sense. But what about the previous sigs? Do you not want them updated? I only say it because:
  1. It affects relatively prominent pages, like the Community portal talk page (which is where I noticed it),
  2. Like I said, I'd be happy to handle it for you, and
  3. Better I handle it, now, than someone like ultradude25, who is already a bit busy, having to do it later on, because someone was moaning into his cyber-face that "Da page iz broken! Fix it!1!one!"
Ultimately, it's not that big a deal, just I don't want to go editing your sig without your permission.
Terminal Corruption 21:53, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
It's funny 'cause I don't have the same problem as you. I suppose it must be a client html-script problem (or something like that, I really don't know). But if you want to change my sigs (which aren't a lot; I have only used my new sig a couple of times), you have my permission to do so, here you can see the list. And I thank you for the time, that you put into this. FracqGrenade | talk contribs 16:43, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
You're very welcome! Like I said, it's no bother. I'll tell you when it's done.
While I'm here - Jan. 18. Woah. Just - wow. All those sites - Craigslist, Destructoid, 4chan, Mozilla, Newgrounds, Wired, Google, Wikipedia - AND MOJANG. And that's not even the full list. ...What do you think of all this? Of S.O.P.A./P.I.P.A.? Of Mojang joining in? Did Minecraft Wiki black out as well (I didn't check at the time, and the main page says "all Mojang sites", which may not apply to a wiki)?

(Realises he is bombarding FracqGrenade; takes deep calming breath) Sorry 'bout that. Still haven't quite gotten over the sheer scale of it. :) But really, what do you think of all this?

-Terminal Corruption 20:40, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
Well, first of all, I think that SOPA and PIPA are bullshit. In my opinion, it's just old greedy people trying to make some more money, so I really do not hope that the bill passes... Have you seen TotalBiscuit's video about it? It's over a month old, but I think it explains it just fine. And, secondly, I don't think that the MinecraftWiki blacked out, I'm pretty sure that I checked. And it's okay that you bombard me :) There aren't many writing on my talk page anyway. FracqGrenade | talk contribs 11:14, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
No, I haven't seen that video; I'll give it a look-see. I'm still trying to get the facts, sans the spin from both sides (you know how it is with hot-button topics like this), but so far, it seems like the bills would allow the concepts of "spam" and "cease-and-desist order" to co-exist - bad idea. Happily, it seems that the bills have been shelved for now.
Back to the topic - I've done what I can, but I couldn't update the sigs on the archives of Dinoguy1000's and Ultradude25's talk pages - they're edit-protected. :( Ah well, since they're only archives, the chances of anyone even looking at the pages, let alone notice your sig, are slim to none. I was thinking of raising the issue (of sigs not auto-updating), but I'm not sure where would be most appropriate. Would you know? Also, I noticed that most of your edits are marked as minor. Is that something else that's gone wrong? *rolls eyes*
Finally, just as a note of interest, I noticed you're involved in the Danish translation project - pretty cool! (No help from here, I'm afraid - don't have a word of Danish. Sorry. :( ) You from Denmark? I'm in the Republic of Ireland, myself. I think the world is trying to fit in the Nether, it's getting so small. :D
Terminal Corruption 15:23, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
If you want to notice the admins about the non-autoupdating sig's, the Community Portal and the Admin Noticeboard would be good suggestions (you can try one, and if you don't get an answer in a matter of a few day, try the other). And no, it is on purpose that (almost) all of my edits are set to minor (it's an option under "My Preferences", where you can toggle it to always mark your edits as minor), as most of my edits are simply, minor. And yes, I am from Denmark :D but the Danish translation project is rubbish - nobody knows how to make a proper page, so I've left the project myself... But wow, I just realized that I know almost nothing about Ireland. Better start readin'!
Oh, and btw., I have noticed that you put the <nowiki> tags when you want to write a word like "this". You don't have to; it knows the difference between putting two of these ' and this ". FracqGrenade | talk contribs 16:47, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
