The emperor penguin is a cosmetic pet mob that can be unlocked as a reward in the Fauna Faire seasonal adventure of Minecraft Dungeons.

Appearance[]

The emperor penguin is a tall penguin with black and white feathers, with yellow feathers surrounding its torso and neck. They also have small long eyes and a black beak.

Behavior[]

The emperor penguin follows heroes around. It is purely cosmetic and does not attack any mobs.

Trivia[]

The penguin was included in the Minecraft Live 2023 mob vote, though it looked different to the design in dungeons. It came 3rd place overall within the first round of voting, losing to the Crab and Armadillo in competition to be added.
