Has anyone ever befriended an Enderman?

I have an Enderman in my world and he recognizes me and he is friendly to me. He has been friends with me ever since I saved his life. Is this something that can happen? I have never heard of such a thing so I was wondering of this has happened to anyone before.

Late reply: This a bug. I've encountered it also, it somewhat inconsistent, and I don't know how to make it happen. See also MC-187430, MC-180298. --01gnaixgnog (talk) 13:19, 26 September 2024 (UTC)

How can I move a page?

Idk why, but for some reason, I cannot move pages any more. Maybe because I take such a long break that I cannot move page, maybe because I missed something? Brain Coral Block (texture) JE2 BE1 Brain180, "click here to talk" 04:26, 27 August 2024 (UTC)

I think that due to persistent vandalism, moving pages has been changed to an action that only privileged users like admins, staff and SOAP members can do. Noisy miner (talk) 07:25, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
Okay, well I guess next time if I wanted to move a page on this wiki, I have to ask admins (like SLScool) to do it. Brain Coral Block (texture) JE2 BE1 Brain180, "click here to talk" 07:49, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
I also realized that I could not edit any pages in the "Module" namespace even though before I could. This probably has the same reason as you talked about. Brain Coral Block (texture) JE2 BE1 Brain180, "click here to talk" 06:00, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
You can check out Special:ListGroupRights for a full list of things you can and cannot do. It won't tell you how recently certain things were restricted, though. SLScool 16:24, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
But why can't you just enable the ability for users like me to move pages and to reupload files. I want to be able to move pages and reupload files. Brain Coral Block (texture) JE2 BE1 Brain180, "click here to talk" 14:22, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
I also realized that I could not even reupload a file due to the reason above. This is the case with the "Stackable & Unstackable Items" image file and I wanted to reupload it but can't because again I CANNOT REUPLOAD FILES (sorry, this is (probably) the first time I'm mad about something in the wiki). So the only way to "reupload" that file is to upload the better version with a different name ("Stackable & unstackable items") and then ask the admin to delete the original file, which is way stupider than just simply reupload the file. Brain Coral Block (texture) JE2 BE1 Brain180, "click here to talk" 07:48, 14 September 2024 (UTC)
I think they added that restriction because vandals were uploading new versions of files, such as Donkey from Shrek. But vandals absolutely do upload new files too. I agree that they shouldn't have the restriction that you can't upload new versions of files. Rather, they should protect files that get vandalised a lot. Hey, do you guys know that yesterday was 1 year anniversary of the new MC wiki!

I did not know that until today. Honestly surprising the new MC wiki make this far, compare to this wiki which is...
... kinda empty (don't worry I'll move to the new wiki on January 1st 2025). Brain Coral Block (texture) JE2 BE1 Brain180, "click here to talk" 01:03, 25 September 2024 (UTC)

It been a year already since the fork happened, how time flies! Any way, I also impressed that that site has survived, and has beaten Fandom's SEO. --01gnaixgnog (talk) 13:11, 26 September 2024 (UTC)

I just realized that Fandom might be the king of wikis

I have edited this wiki for almost 3 years now and I didn't know almost any other wikis on Fandom until recently. In fact, I didn't know that this wiki is a part of Fandom until somewhere in 2023. Before I returned editing this wiki again, I only know about 3 Fandom wikis, which are the Minecraft Wiki, Feed The Beast Wiki (not to be confused with the MrBeast Wiki), and the Plants vs. Zombies Wiki. However, just recently, I discovered Wikitubia aka the YouTube Wiki, which made me read that wiki for over an hour, but more importantly made me wonder if there's exists any more Fandom wikis out there. And oh boy, when I started exploring, I was stocked by the amount of Fandom wikis out there, and also by the fact there're some wikis out of that I don't even think exist. Firstly, I explored some YouTuber wikis like MrBeast and PewDiePie Wiki, then I discovered some of my childhood shows wikis like the Mr. Bean wiki and The Amazing World of Gumball Wiki. After that, I found out some of the apps wikis like the Subway Surfers Wiki and even the Duolingo Wiki (yes the green owl that remind you of the Spanish lesson), which for me is insane to even think about. I even found out the Skibidi Toilet Wiki (yes the Gen Alpha's favorite wiki rn), the Chess wiki, and even the Math, Chemistry, and the History wiki, which made me went from "Brain180" to "Blown180". There're more wikis but I don't have time to show you all. This is also the reason why I'm not really active recently, because I explore many Fandom wikis that I could think of. Almost every time I think about a thing that I though there're won't be a wiki for, Fandom will have a wiki for it, which for me is ridiculous to even think about. That why I'm thinking that Fandom is the king of wikis, what is your thought on this, do you agree with me? Brain Coral Block (texture) JE2 BE1 Brain180, "click here to talk" 16:24, 3 October 2024 (UTC)

There are hundreds of thousands of wikis on Fandom. The first two wikis you mentioned, however, were originally on the platform Gamepedia before Fandom acquired it a few years ago, so that might be part of why you didn't know about Fandom back then. SLScool 03:40, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
I'm not sure if you're right or not. I started editing Minecraft Wiki on November 16th 2021, which is after the time Fandom taken over the Minecraft Wiki (which happened in March 9th 2021). However, for reading is a different story since I discovered the Minecraft Wiki (by accident) when I tried to search "Minecraft blocks" on Google at late-2020, which lead to Block, the first MCW article I read (which happened before Fandom took over MCW). So technically, you can say that's one of reasons why Idk Fandom back then. I also wanted to mention that Minecraft Wiki (and also the Math Wiki) is probably the easiest Fandom's wiki to edit on without accidentally breaking any rules. If you read the Wikitubia's rules (or other wiki rules), it's like the FNAF lore. Now I don't said that MCW should add more rules (even though I'm currently suggest adding a few more rules), I just want to say that MCW rules is easier to understand than most of other wikis on Fandom. Hey! I want to ask about this Fandom's search engine

I am currently using Firefox and see button popup asking if I want to add this wiki as a search engine and when I try it it work better than expected being able to search page directly from urlbar such as https://minewiki.pl/en:Armor with just Armor or https://minewiki.pl/en:Special:Search?query=(EXAMPLE) if not any page exist and I wanna try that on the wiki fandom I was contributing, at first I try to just add https://example.fandom.com/wiki/%s on my search engine list but it won't redirect to https://example.fandom.com/wiki/Special:Search?query=%s if no such page exist so I read more article and find out this might related to thing called OpenSearch, Wikipedia also mention it about Search Plug-in or whatever with xml so if you guys know something about it, help would be appreciate Thanks! – Unsigned comment added by Poppulator (talkcontribs). The Donkey event might happen again

Looking at this wiki rn, I have a bad feeling that this will likely be extremely raided again. Especially when the Donkey event already happened devastatingly with the big hate for Fandom. Combine with the fact that it's not hard to be an emailconfirmed user and all it takes it's just some random post about vandalizing this wiki somewhere on the Internet and yeah, you know what happens next. So we have to prepare for this, but don't have any ideas to prepare. How about you? Brain Coral Block (texture) JE2 BE1 Brain180, "click here to talk" 12:55, 12 November 2024 (UTC)

Okay, I have an idea on how to prepare for this. My idea is: As soon as the wiki get very raided, immediately lock the wiki for a few weeks until you think it's safe to unlocked the wiki again. However, this also means that only admins or above can edit this wiki during the lock, but it's okay, because all you need to do is giving the autopatrol user right to any user you trust, then make it so that only autopatrol or above can edit this wiki during the lock. And that's the plan, the list of users that's not vandalizing this wiki is on this page. While I think this is a perfect idea, I still feel like something is missing about it, idk what it is. Well unfortunately, this issue cannot be fixed since Minecraft never supports Chromebook, see the comment on MC-179354. Brain Coral Block (texture) JE2 BE1 Brain180, "click here to talk" 04:26, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
