Summary[]

Cutaway view of the bottom of the mineshaft. Annotations are as follows: (1) Ascent shaft. Torches in the ascent shaft are placed to the side of the ladder. (2) Descent shaft. Note that torches in the descent shaft are placed away from the ascent shaft.(3) Water pit (replaced by dyed wool for illustration only). This breaks your fall when descending. (4) Passage to mining area/utility room.
